Vanilla CGI install

Hi,

Is it possible to install RT on a linux machine without modperl or
fastcgi?

I’ve searched the archive but can’t find anything that gives a definite
yes or no answer.

If it’s possible, could someone give me some advice or a pointer to
discussion/docs.

(I know performance will be somewhat slow, but that’s not really an
issue for me).

Cheers,
Carl

yes, it can. pretend “/usr/bin/perl” is the name of your speedycgi
executable, and don’t try to configure the mod_speedycgi into apache.
if you rename the speedycgi handler to end in “.cgi” it might just work
without any httpd configs. otherwise, just convince apache to run
“.scgi” scripts via the cgi handler.

It will be dog slow. You might as well install speedycgi and use it.
it is a very small module.
