Trying to edit Reference field in the email header

Posted similar question in a different thread and really did not get an answer trying again.

When using the reply button on the Ticket (In the Ticket Display window) the Reference header look like this

References: <RT-Ticket-1553440@Copsean_Service_Inc>

But when I use the autoreply action in RT4 the Reference field in the header looks like this
References: <RT-Ticket-1553440@Copsean_Service_Inc>

This line is missing

All information about the email received is missing. Is this a bug or is it by design. In any case I need to know how to get the information about the previous email in the Reference field of the email header.
