Subject mandatory without using extension

Hi guys

I want to make the subject field mandatory when user want to create new ticket. I’ve searched this forum and find lots of posts related to this question and all of them says I should use RT-Extension-MandatorySubject, but the thing is because of some reasons I don’t want to use any extensions. I want to modify the code directly and I don’t know where and how i should do it.
I will appreciate any solution.

Not sure why you wouldn’t want to use the extension, but you could look at the required attribute. HTML input required Attribute
