Strange error on Umlauts

Hello list,

Has anyone sees an error like the one attached or know how to fix that?

As a followup:
This is what a debug-log says. i have 2 tickets where this happens - not
all:

Hello list,

Has anyone sees an error like the one attached or know how to fix that?

I’ve got one ticket now that’s doing this.

Breaking on the � character for me. There’s no question that the user
who has sent it has some issues with his mail client, lots of stuff
comes through unreadable. Still not sure what’s causing Text::Quoted to
freak out, though.

Out of curiosity, what distro are you running RT under?

RedHat 7.3 with self-compiled perl 5.8.0 and apache 1.3.27
