Starting point for a newbye?

Dear List People

I’ve just started studing RT this week, and I’m a bit confused here.
Anyone could please tell me about a nice starting point from where to
start reading the documentation so I learn how to build standalone
applications using the RT objects and classes to annoy and impress my users.

Any nice pointers to documentation?
