I’ve written a small installation note for Solaris.
Jesse, please add it to the installation instructions,
if you find it correct.
Installation notes for Solaris 8
Most of the installation process goes without problems.
The only known concern is Sendmail configuration.
In Solaris 8, Sendmail executable is placed where you normally
don’t expect it: /usr/lib/sendmail. Thus, you need to set
$SendmailPath in etc/config.pm.
In addition, you might want to change the default Sendmail
configuration. In /usr/lib/mail/ you will find the sources for
Sendmail configuration files (available via package SUNWsndmu).
Note that the default configuration supplied by Solaris
rewrites the sender’s address with the fully qualified hostname.
You may change this with MASQUERADE_AS(support.yourdomain.com)
statement. Note that it’s incompatible with FEATURE(`remote_mode’).
