When you do a Simple Search, what fields in DB are searched?
Simple ticket search:

type your search term in the text box in the upper right of the screen

click the Search button
AFAIK:
if term is then it’s like goto ticket #
if term is queue name then it searches for all tickets in that queue
in other cases it searches in ticket subject
