Should RT be made to use DBD::MariaDB instead of DBD::mysql?

When installing DBD::mysql on a system with mariadb libs instead of mysql the tests fail.

Developers of the DBD::mysql module say that you should be using DBD::MariaDB.

Is this a concern for RT?
