RT RPM interface. RTx::Atom?

I will be starting on an RPC interface for Asset Tracker soon.
This will be important for admins easily keeping the AT database
up-to-date using simple command line tools located on the
assets themselves.

Is RTx::Atom code the best place to start for this?
