I just got sent a task with a handfull of PDF’s and they didn’t come
through as attachments, and they are listed in the ticket, but not
clickable links. Is this normal? or have i broken somehting?
I am running RT 3.4.4

Check the maximum attachment size in RT_SiteConfig.pm and the
maximum_packet_size option in my.cnf.

My mistake. In my.cnf it should be
set-variable = max_allowed_packet=
