RT on IIS6?

Hi all,

Have anyone successfully installed RT on IIS6?

I would love to put RT on my server but the only problem is that it’s
already running IIS 6 and I don’t want to have a dedicated box just for RT.

Ted,

I have a dedicated webserver hosted at a remote data center. The cost of
having a dedicated server just for RT is too high for us at the moment.
Running Apache on the same machine and different port is another solution
but I’m not an Apache expert. I have very little experience with Apache and
I would be a lot more comfortable running it on IIS instead. From: Ted Serreyn [mailto:ted@serreyn.com]

Why not run the standalone or run it on a different port?

Alex,
I just subscribed to this list so I don’t have the announcement from Jesse
(and there’s no searchable archive), so can you give me more information
about the standalone edition? Where can I find more documentation about it
and where can I get a copy?

Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it.

Hi,

I think by “standalone” he meant RT standalone version which has
integrated DB and HTTP server built in, i.e. it is self-contained. Check
the -devel list for Jesse’s announcement for release of RT standalone
version.
