I’m setting up rt for the first time and I can’t get it to accept new
requests via email. When I send email to rt I don’t get an auto-ticket
(“Send an autoreply on request creation” is enabled for all my queues) and
the request never shows up in the web interface. I can generate and
manipulate requests with the web interface and when I do, I receive mail
from rt just fine.

I described briefly it above, and here’s some additional info:
All mail in our domain goes to a central mail server. On this central
mail server there are these rt-related aliases:
rt: rt@crapsis
On host crapsis, here are rt-related aliases:
rt: “|/usr/local/rt/bin/rt-mailgate general correspond”
I can see all the email requests I send sitting in
/var/spool/exim/input on crapsis.
Here is entry in config.pm:
$mailprog = "/usr/lib/sendmail ";
$mail_options = “-oi -t”;
