RT + LDAP config troubles

Hello,

I am completely lost. I am doing homework for school and I have installed Request Tracker and LDAP. In LDAP, I created a person in a group called “everyone.” The person has a UID, email address, first name, and last name. I need to be able to log in to RT using the login credentials of the user I created in LDAP.
I am using version 5.0.3+dfsg-3~deb12u4. I probably need the right configuration?
I have no idea what to do, and I would be very grateful for any help.

Currently, when I try to log into RT with a user I created in LDAp, it doesn’t work. But when I log into RT via root, I can see my user and other information about them, such as their email address.
