When customers send email to our support email address from google, The from Address picks as:
From: The default queue via RT <support@mycompany.com>
.
Now due to Branding issues and customer satisfaction I want to get away with the The default queue via RT bit from email From header since from a high-level overview from Gmail client they cannot really identify the sender as support@mycompany.com. Now testing this from msmtp which is the SMTP relay we use it does correctly pick email header as From: support@mycompany.com
. Am assuming this is something to be set from RT side, question is where do I tell RT to use From Email headers as the support email and get away with the The default queue via RT bit.
