Hello,
Has anyone moved data from an RT system to a data warehouse for
reporting purposes? If so, would you be willing to share your
experiences? I’m interested in the design of the warehouse data
structures, particularly how to accommodate custom fields.
Thanks,
Steve

If you don’t mind can you also send them to me, we will be implementing
reporting via Business Objects fairly soon , and your scripts will be
useful.
Kind regards;

Hi,
ok, this is the very first version, but stable. Its not nice, but we have
separated systems, so we have to extract the values (the changed ones) and
ftp them to the datapool.
we are using the sh scrip from cron at this moment, but if we have moved
from mysql to oracle, we can do this in real time.
It is important, that you use BO for this, the ftp scrip is putting thi into
a internal ftp at this moment and from there it will be grabbed from
anoither scrip and putted into a BO universe
OK, if you have further question, ask me
PS: Jesse don’t like this way of getting Reports :-)2006/9/1, Roy El-Hames rfh@pipex.net:
