RT configuration

To all,

Currently, when someone makes a comment on a ticket, the ticket status 

changes to “open”, unless it is already opened. I have a requirement to
modify RT to NOT open a ticket when a comment is made. Has anyone ever
done anything like this before? Some help would be appreciated. Thank
you in advance.
