RT: Cannot Encode::Guess; fallback to iso-8859-1 (/opt/rt/lib/RT/I18N.pm:352)

Hello,

I seem to be having a problem with the utf-8 conversion in RT.
Every time I post a reply in RT the following message shows up in the
syslog and the reply hasn’t been send by mail:

I have upgraded perl to v5.8.0 built for i686-linux-thread-multi and
updated all the modules used by RT.
This did not solve the problem however. I am using apache 1.3.27 with
modperl 1.
I believe this problem came up when I installed RTFM, RT worked correctly
before I installed RTFM.

I hope anyone has a suggestion for solving this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Yours sincerely,

Why don’t you switch from “sendmail” to “sendmailpipe” for your mail
transport and tell us how it works?On Fri, Jul 18, 2003 at 11:00:15AM +0200, Don van der Haghen wrote:
