Just testing RT using rt-server. After a successful build/install, logging in (root/password) says "Successful login for root" in the console, but just redisplays the login page. I know there’s a lot more setup involved, which I haven’t done yet, but is this behavior expected?
Set $WebSecureCookies, 0 in your site config if you’re on localhost, then you should be able to get past the login screen
