RT 4.4.2 Backup database before upgrade

Good day everyone.

The company I work for uses Request Tracker 4.4.2 hosted on a Virtual Machine running Cent0s 7

There is discussion about upgrading to the latest version, i would like to create a backup of the current database before I proceed with the upgrade plan.

is it possible to backup the current database and restore it incase the worst happens?
