Requestors' RT account

Hi,

How shall I set RT up to disable automatic user account
on submission? I don’t want to allow them to neither
access tickets via WWW nor to access RT in any other
way than mail.

I’ve never forget my first Windows installation…
but I’m still trying to…

Block port 80 on your firewall for your RT machine’s IP address?

I was talking about RT user accounts, nor web server access
in common. The latter I can reach in many ways, that’s not
the problem, but I don’t want dozens of ‘users’ in my RT
database, because I don’t need them.

What you have to remember is; RT does NOT send the user their password
when it creates an entry in the database for them. So unless you go and
set a password for them, and inform them of it, they can not login.
