Problems with logs and things breaking

It seems if /var/log/rt2/ isn’t owned by ‘alias’ then qmail can’t pass mail to
support@ourdomain.com.

It also seems that if /var/log/rt2/ isn’t owned by ‘nobody’ the web interface
doesn’t work.

It can’t be owned by both. I’ve tried alias:nobody with 2775 perms, but that
still doesn’t work. How do I get around this?

generally the log directory is owned by group rt, is group writable,
and the users that your MTA and web server run as are in rt group. It
sounds like you didn’t set up your unix groups right.
