Problems with adding info to request

LS,

I have installed RT 1.0.7 on my system.
Everything seems to work except adding info to a ticket.
(replying/givingcomment/resolving/etc)
An internal server error occurs then. (error 500)

When I check the logs of apache it gives:
Couldn’t open /var/rt/transactions/2001/Feb/17/6.28 for writing: Permission
denied
[Sat Feb 17 20:03:35 2001] [error] [client x.75.28.185] Premature end of
script headers: /usr/local/bin/cgi/webrt.cgi

It seems like the dir isn’t writable for apache.
I’ve changed the ownership to nobody.nobody but it’s still giving me the
errors.

What kan I do about it?

I’m working with RedHat, Kernel 2.2.16-22 on an i586

Kind Regards,

Joachim

you are right about it being an ownership problem, if I remembe right, its
supposed to be owned by rt.rt. But my memory’s a little foggy on this
point…

It sounds like some of your RT scripts have lost their setuid bit.
in the rt install directory, run ‘make fixperms’
