Problem with PDF attachments

Hi,

I recently upgraded from version 3.4.6 to 3.8.1. Since then, pdf
attachments downloaded from RT or sent by RT are corrupted, Acrobat
Reader displays the error “Insufficient data for an image”. This
occurs even for pdf attachments saved before the upgrade. I saw no
errors in the database upgrade script running.

Have anyone had this issue before and encountered a solution?

I think you missed upgrade process in UPGRADING.mysql.

Did you apply the MySQL 4.0->4.1 schema changes as described
in UPGRADING.mysql?

Yes, I missed the schema changes.

I have to admit that I no longer have the backup made before the
upgrade. So, I applied the schema changes on current database.
Everything is working correctly now. The only side effects are that pdf
attached between the upgrade and the schema patch still cannot be seen,
and that non-English characters of messages from the same period are not
being display correctly. But these are minor issues.

yes and there is no easy way to recover those corrupted datas. THought
in some days everyone would forgot those datas :wink:
