Folks:
I have fallen and can’t get up. I have been running RT 2.0.9 successfully for
many months. I’ve been trying to keep up with system updates on my RH 7.2
system, using up2date -u.
A power failure over the weekend knocked the RT box off the air. Now that we’ve
restored the power, everything is working except that I can’t get the RT web
server on the air.
When I attempt a “/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start”, I get the following
error message:
[root@blitz1 i386-linux]# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start
[Mon May 20 14:43:27 2002] [error] Perl lib version (v5.6.1) doesn’t match
executable version (v5.6.0) at /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/Config.pm line 21.
… blah blah blah…
My guess is that up2date has updated my perl to 5.6.1, but since I’d never
restarted, the old (5.6.0) perl was running happliy.
My questions:
-
Is my assumption above correct? (that the upgrade to 5.6.1 has left the 5.6.0
directory unusable) -
Does anyone know how to make perl switch to using the stuff in
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1, instead of using /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0?
Many thanks!
