New RT6 Extensions - Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas are very welcome

Hello RT Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce a few new and updated RT extensions and invite you to test them if you are interested.

As part of our company’s migration from RT 4 to RT 6, we took the time to review and consolidate all of our customizations and extensions. Based on that work, we have created new extensions adapted for RT 6.

We have also updated several very old extensions that are still requested by our users and brought them up to date.

Feel free to take a look at the following:

  1. RT 6 already looks very nice compared to our old release, but there were still a few things that we and our users were missing.
    We therefore implemented a number of design changes for RT 6.0.2 and newer. You can find them here:

  2. The Kanban extension, which is unfortunately no longer actively maintained, was a mandatory add-on for our users.
    For that reason, we rebuilt it from scratch and updated it with the current RT and Bootstrap features. Anyone interested can find and try it here:

  3. Personally, I am a huge fan of RT’s Terminal Theme.
    Since it had only been available for RT 5 so far, we also updated it and gave it a bit of a refresh — at least according to my taste. You can find it here:

Most of the work so far consists of design-related changes, but over the coming weeks we will be posting more of our internal changes and features here.

These looks great Torsten, I’ll add them to my list of things to package for Debian. :slight_smile:

An idea for another homepage widget is a RSS client which could be handy for showing news etc from other sources.

Hi!

We’d love to see the CustomFieldsonUpdate extension updated for RT 6. Are there plans to do so?

By the way, the BeautifyUI extension looks great.

With the new page layouts feature, you don’t need this extension any longer since you can add custom fields (or groupings) to the update page!
