Running RT 5.0.1 with several extensions and loving it! We’ve opted to enable the ‘More about the Requestors’ portlet within our tickets. We’ve for now enabled a couple of extra fields in the portlet…specifically Work Phone and Mobile Phone. I was originally under the impression that privileged users would be able to modify those fields from directly within the portlet, but that isn’t the case. Is the idea then to have these fields populated from info taken from our IDP which presently only collects, email, username and full name?
Hi, you could use a SAML assertion for that, but it’s not good practice. You should hand over the bare minimum to identify the user in your assertion. It might be better to look at RT’s LDAP import functionality, to populate your user data, after which your Idp need only send the mail attribute.
