Mailgate problem

I have started getting:
(Deferred: prog mailer (/bin/sh) exited with EX_TEMPFAIL)

"|/usr/local/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate

Any ideas as to what i have done wrong?

I am using FreeBSD and Sendmail with RT 3.4.4

I am using FreeBSD and Sendmail with RT 3.4.4
Get text of the message from mail queue and run mailgate from the
command line with --debug option enabled, something like:

cat message.eml | rt-mailgate --debug …other mailgate options…
