Just a heads up to other FreeBSD users out there…

That’s a developer only release. (That’s what the _ in 6.200_02means).
Hm. How do we get this fixed for freebsd?

You horsewhip the port maintainer. personally, I never use the p5-*
ports since they are not always up to date with CPAN, and keeping all
of perl under the control of perl makes for easier life.

I just updated the PR that submitted the change. Hopefully
someone will take note.

Contact the maintainer (Cc:'ed)?
kuriyama: any chance we could get the p5-MIME-Tools update backed out? 6.2
is (apparently) developer-only.

I don’t know, but I’ve mailed the maintainer of said port.
Usually, upgrading one port should not break another (at least, that’s what
I thought it to be).
Thinking about it: is the port-freeze towards 4.9-RELEASE allready over ?
(The commit of a developer-release indicates this)
After such a freeze, commits like the above seem to happen sometimes.
If nothing helps, you could probably download the previous Makefile and
distinfo + whatever is needed via cvsweb
(Getting OT now…)
cheers,

/should/ not doesn’t mean it won’t. Some of the more complicated port
inter-dependancies can be very difficult to not break by updating one port.
This one, however, doesn’t qualify.

Possibly, 4.9-RELEASE was branched earlier today, I think. I haven’t been
following -stable, -current, or -announce today, so I couldn’t say for sure.

Yep, I’ve already done that.
(Getting OT now…)
Heck, OT was miles ago – this is Very OT. And hence, my last post in the
thread.
