Is RT WCAG 2.1 AA/Title II ADA Compliant?

Hi,

As an institution we are being hammered by our Title II coordinator to go through all of our public facing software and RT was one of them. If it is not Title II compliant and there are alternatives, they will want us to disband from using RT. Which many of my colleagues are not particularly keen on.

From experience, I’ve seen RT used in many universities, colleges, and schools I would hope that their latest version of RT6 is Title II compliant or they have a VPAT of sorts.

I emailed Best Practical, but I haven’t heard back from them yet regarding a VPAT for Title II compliance.

Does anyone know if RT is Title II ADA compliant, or if they have a VPAT?

Thanks!

I just ran the “IBM Equal Access Accessibility Checker” Chrome extension over our main RT (5.0.8) home page as well as a test install we have of RT 6.0.1. The 5.0.8 home page had 190 violations, 56 “needs review” and 36 recommendations, whilst the (more vanilla) RT 6.0.1 home page had 13 violations, 39 “needs review” and 36 recommended.

The IBM extension should cover WCAG 2.2 (so a superset of 2.1).

We’ve published an updated VPAT for RT 6 here: Request Tracker VPAT – Request Tracker . Hope this helps!

Thank you so much @Keri_Akmezikyan !
