The documentation talks about using Oracle, are there any directions for
doing an installation on Oracle??

In recent (June) mail this chap admits to having gotten RT (mostly?)
working with Solaris and Oracle 9i. As I understand it, you’ll need to
create the tables manually, but everything else should be fine.
