In RT5, a user could put multiple sections on the Display page of a ticket (i.e. The Basics, Time, Custom Fields, People, etc.) into edit mode, make all of their edits, and clicking “Save” in any of those boxes would save every box that was in Edit mode. Awesome. In RT6, the user now has to click each “Save” button for each box. Not so awesome. I assume this is due to the switch to htmx. I’ve tried restoring this “save all” behavior and can’t quite do it.
I created a local version of Elements/ShowCustomFIeldCustomGroupings and added this to the form element:
hx-include=“[class=‘inline-edit’]”
This then allows me to click “Save” in the Custom Fields box and it does save changes in every other box I’ve edited (i.e. Basics, People, etc.), but those other boxes all stay in edit mode. Also, if I try adding a similar functionality to the The Basics box (make the “Save” button save all), it does save the data changes, but The Basics box doesn’t refresh properly and the other boxes are still left in edit mode.
I feel like I’m on the right track (maybe, lol), but can’t quite get there. Anyone else crack this nut?
