How RT interfaces with email

Hey guys,

I’m confused as to how RT works with email. What i want to do for now is have RT send out email to the requestor whenever someone replies to a ticket or when someone closes a ticket. Is this possible? The instructions on the fsck seem to show how to set up email so that people can email the rt system to create tickets(which i don’t want to do just yet).

This is my system configuration:

RT 2.0.14
Debian Linux 3.0 (Woody, stable)
Mysql

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
