How is it possible to configure RT to send Desktop Notification

Please I will like to know if it is possible and how to configure RT to send Desktop Notification when a ticket is created, worked on, resolved, etc…

I think this would be difficult to do and I haven’t seen anyone do it as of yet. My thought would be to have an email client desktop application like Thunderbird/Outlook that has desktop notifications. That way when you receive an RT email you will receive a desktop notification for the email.
