Encoding problems

Hello,

I installed RT to manage tickets in french language, but i have serious
encoding problems with special caracters, here is a mail that doesn’t
work, has someone had this sort of problems?
is it a solution?
i run under GNU/Linux Debian 3.0 in testing with good locales.

Working solution seems to be to install Perl 5.8.3 and run RT off of it.

This fixed all the similar problems we were having with scandinavian
characters.

I am using debian and 5.8.3 isn’t available… well… i am going to
build it from sources.

I found that the old version 3.0.7 was working with accents (or much
better than 3.0.8, i had not so much problems) actually i also have
problems with attachments that are corrupted.
Does somebody now what changed from 3.0.7 to 3.0.8?
Could it come from my config that is not good?
