Enabling advanced search to display deleted tickets

Hi list,
is there a way to make deleted tickets appear in the advanced search?
I’ve tried playing with both the GUI and the manual SQL-ish interface, but no good.

I’m aware that this is a native feature of Request Tracker and that forums elsewhere suggest to operate directly on the database, but in consideration of the fact that deleted tickets can still be found by entering their ticket ID in the non-advanced search, I’m wondering if there is a config option to make the search display them (even if just by using the super-advanced SQL box), without having to edit the code of the relative class.
