Custom Fields in Query Builder

In my tinkering in the last few weeks, trying to set up new groups in RT
and giving them necessary permissions, the custom fields have
disappeared from the query builder. Much more tinkering later, I’m still
baffled as to what I could have done to cause this. Can someone possibly
jar my brane and suggest what permission(s) I may have added/removed
that could cause this behavior?

I have a single custom field that I’ve created. How do I get it to show
up in Query Builder?
