Checking on rt-mailgate

The docs say:

Before doing anything else, make sure that rt-mailgate runs from the
commandline.

Does that mean that it should just execute, or do something more
substantial like output usage? I can run it as
/usr/local/rt2/bin/rt-mailgate and then it will just sit there. I assume
that it’s waiting for input. Is this the expected result at this point in
the install process?

Yep. next step might be to paste an email into it and see if it
process it, or if it spits an error at you.

If the ticket is processed, rt-mailgate works.
