Can't revoke rights

When unchecking “Let this user be granted rights” the service doesn’t respond (process shoots up in CPU and doesn’t reply).
Has anyone had this problem and fixed it?
We have RT 3.4.4., Oracle db and perl v5.8.5.
Last from log is
[warning]: RT::Handle=HASH(0xb762db4) couldn’t prepare the query ‘SELECT ObjectCustomFieldValues_seq.nextval FROM DUAL’ORA-02289: sequence does not exist (DBD ERROR: error possibly near <> indicator at char 7 in 'SELECT <>ObjectCustomFieldValues_seq.nextval FROM DUAL’) (/opt/rt3.4.4/lib/RT.pm:287)

Just at a guess: did you upgrade recently from RT 3.2?

It looks like you didn’t run the database upgrade scripts that “make
upgrade” tells you to.
