Beta wiki

We’re getting ready to switch the RT wiki from Kwiki to Wifty, a wiki
built on our Jifty framework. Wifty makes it easy for us to require
logins and validate your email address before allowing you to edit
pages.

I’d appreciate it if a few folks could test out the new wiki software on
http://rt.bestpractical.com. All content on the new wiki WILL BE
REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH THE LATEST CONTENT FROM WIKI.BESTPRACTICAL.COM
before the final cutover.

Thanks!

Jesse

I only had a chance to have a quick look but…

Feature request: Preview Button

Bug Report: Incorrect handling of pages with terminating \d+

To reproduce:

Edit a page and add a new wiki link SubPage1

Save

Click on link. You are taken to editing SubPage. Edit and save.

Subsequent clicks on SubPage1 take you to an extant but empty
page. Click edit and you are taken to the SubPage source you created
earlier.

Also, the KwikiFormattingRules page was vandalised on the old and
copied that way to the new. I was able to find a copy on another wiki
and paste it into the new wiki, but when I tried that on the old one,
I got ‘URL block’. So the old wiki version of that page needs
reverting.

Cheers,
Michael

nod I’m not sure we can get to this before migration, but it’s a
reasonable request.

Thanks. Should be better now.

There will be an anti-spam run before we migrate. And I’ll make sure the
old wiki stays around for a while for archive material.

Hello,

Just took a quick look at the new wiki - the sections of code appear to have
additional line-breaks in the new wiki. Compare

Yay!

One problem. History links don’t seems to work. At least not
on this page: http://rt.bestpractical.com./history/AssetTracker

We’re not processing the RCS logs to generate the history. That’s why
the old wiki will be disabled but not deleted.

I’d appreciate it if a few folks could test out the new wiki

Right you are. My “chomp” was wrong. I’ve done a fresh import. How’s
it look now?

Looks great!

Looks like maybe some code sections didn’t get converted correctly. Compare:

Strange because I saw in the other post that some code sections were
converted.

Gr. I think this has to do with switching from Kwiki to
Text::Kwikiformatish.

Looks very nice, much crisper looking than the old one. Checking
the one page that I contributed (WorkFlow), it looks like all
the code got flowed together which makes it hard to follow.
Any idea what happened here?
