Best Linux Distro for install

I ran a pilot in my organization under Red Hat 9 and the install was less
than fun for two main reasons - Apache being at 2, and Perl being at 5.8.0
(5.8.2 is desireable). I then implemented the production server on Debian
Sid. That was far easier because both Perl and Apache were at the
desirable versions AND there are logically named packages for some of the
required Perl modules.

To make the case for Debian even better, you can now just:
apt-get install request-tracker3

Presently, Debian Sid has RT 3.0.9

Hope that helps!

I think it’s better to fill it in FAQ at wiki.bestpractical.com
