Automatic Status Information to Requestors

Hi all,
I’m new to RT and I wanted to know the following

1) the requestor creates a ticket via mail interface
2) he/she recieves the autoreply with the ticket ID
3) after some time he/she wants to know about the state of the ticket
It is possible to automatically reply  when the requestor ask about

the status of the ticket via email interface?
