Attachments missing when added via mail

When I send mail to RT including attachments (eg dd if=/dev/zero of=zero count=10000), the attachment doesn’t get included in the
resulting ticket. When I create a ticket (or reply to/comment on it)
via the web interface, such attachments are accepted just fine.

I’ve set $max_allowed_packet in my.cnf to 16M, $MaxAttachmentSize to
10000000 (I think that’s the right amount of zeroes) in

I also get errors like the following around when RT should be
processing the mail and attachment:

I’m running RT 3.4.2 on Solaris, with Apache 2.0.50.
