I’ve been using Request Tracker’s new API 2.0 extension to create an iOS client for our users. A feature we’ve wanted for a while is the ability to view/modify a user’s rights via the API. Being able to query for a user’s right to limit what features they can access plus allowing admins to create and modify users/rights on the fly would really speed up our workflow. Other than our use case I could see modifying rights to be very useful for scripting RT.
I’ve been considering forking the API but am having a hard time understanding the perl. Any direction as to how to modify user rights remotely would be great!
