Any way of performing an unmerge?

I’ve just merged a ticket into the wrong ticket.

Is there any way of unmerging it with RT 3?

Is there any way of unmerging it with RT 3?

Not without manually tweaking the database and changing the
EffectiveID field.

IIRC, mhat@netlag.com posted the same question to rt-devel last week.
I replied with a pointer to a tool I wrote to do so for RT2. mhat
replied with a patch for rt3, which I have yet to apply. On Fri, Aug 08, 2003 at 08:57:57PM -0700, Robert Spier wrote:

Oh. no. that was the comment removal tool. But there should be an unmerge for
RT2 in http://fsck.com/pub/rt/contrib/2.0/rt-addons/ which will do most
of what you need.On Sat, Aug 09, 2003 at 01:56:07AM -0400, Jesse Vincent wrote:

I’m up for that if it helps me to get myself out of the mess I made by
merging the wrong tickets together :frowning:

Can anyone tell me, though, exactly which tables & fields I need to alter? I
can (probably) handle the SQL statements if someone can just give me enough
information to find what I’m looking for.

Thanks.

Does anyone know the magic incantations to do this? It seems a few people
have asked about it but the mailing list doesn’t have any examples.
