An unusual request

Hi all,

I have a customer in the scientific industry. They are working in what is
call a “GLP” (good laboratory practices) environment, very strict.

They are using RT and would like to use the approval facility.

The only problem, they require that just before someone approves a
request, he/she must be prompted by the application to enter his
credentials. That for each approval to be done, and a record of the
authentication is to be kept with the request.

Is this ever possible?

Regards,

Francois

Do you mean swiping a card, or just entering credentials?

If you search on the wiki, you should find something about making custom
fields required. I would imagine this could be included in the
Approvals process. It would definitely be worth a look.

Hi,

It is only required to enter credentials.

I had a look at the “CustomFieldsOnUpdate”, not sure how to use it for our
problem.

Thanks for the advise,

François
