Action to Modify Custom Field

Has anyone written an action to change a custom field?

I’d like to set a certain custom field on-create.

Have you read the FAQ? The RT FAQ Manager lives at http://fsck.com/rtfm

I have looked at that but it always wants to extract a value from an email.

I need to set it no matter how the ticket is created.

I guess I could hac kthe code though.
