When using the asset csv import extension you can configure it to use one of
the column names as the id of the created asset.
What i don’t see is a way to do this when creating an asset through the
website. This means that potentially i will get issues if i create assets
manually and then import some more through the csv import extension.
This is important for people that have an existing infrastructure of assets
in their workplaces
