Upgrade path

Looking for some advice on if I need to upgrade or not. My company is
currently evaluating RT3 version 3.010 and it was easy to setup and
and works very well. Is it worth upgrading to the current version for
features etc. It seemed kinda painful seeing that an upgrade to both
Perl and mysql would be required.

Running

Whitebox Linux 3.0 RHEL clone
Apache 2.046
mysql 3.23
RT 3.0.10
Perl 5.8.0

You really don’t want to be running either that version of perl, or
that version of mysql. I believe both are known to cause data
corruption. So, since you should update those anyhow, that’s not a
reason not to upgrade…

Additionally, I’d recommend using the latest RT for speed and features.
