Should CommandByMail commands visible in the tickets body? (RT3.6.0, CommandByMail-0.03)

Hi all,

I am trying to use the RT extension CommandByMail to set some needed custom
fields and this works fine so far. But shouldn’t the commands be removed from
the email after execution? What I meen is that the fields are set correctly
and additionally the full commands are visible in the created ticket body.

I thought its switchable via the rt-mailgate parameter --debug but the output
is always the same.

In the case that this is correct, what is the best way to remove such lines?

BTW, should the 3.6.0-patch also be applicable for rt-3.6.1?

Regards,

Andreas

Personally I believe they should be visible. I prefer the email in
the database to be as close to the real email as possible.

Friendly,

Normally i prefer this also but in our case its disturbing.

Our customers are using a support form to create tickets and we take some
values to store them in the corresponding custom fields for internal usage.

I want to provide our customers the {$Transaction->Content()} after creating
and that looks not so nice. Also it may confuse some of our customers.

I think it should be an option to enable the output with a debug flag, config
file entry or something else.

As I wrote to someone else on the list the feature you’re requesting
would be useful and I don’t mind to integrade a patch into the
extension, but only if it would be configurable via the config. On 8/21/06, Andreas Ittgenshorst rt@ittgenshorst.de wrote:
