Self-Service Set Ticket Owner

I have RT 3.5 with the LDAP overlay available from the Wiki.

When a user creates a ticket in self service, the ticket is created just
fine, but the requestor is not set to the actual requestor, and they are
given the error “No permission to view newly created ticket #26.”

Is there a way around this?
